In Defense of Marriage

Today, June 26, 2015, the Associated Press reports that: SUPREME COURT EXTENDS GAY MARRIAGE NATIONWIDE.
It is a sad day for a God fearing people. The equivalent of the decision is to say: SUPREME COURT DECLARES THAT THE TEN COMMANDMENTS ARE NO LONGER VALID.
Who will speak for God in defense of the Ten Commandments today?
Today, let us pray:
Lord Jesus, have mercy on our country.
Have mercy on our families.
Save us from evil.
Defend us when we stand for You in the public arena.
I pray uniting my voice to Psalm 85:10-12
Near indeed is his salvation for those who fear him;
Glory will dwell in our land.
Love and Truth will meet;
Justice and peace will kiss.
Truth will spring from the earth;
Justice will look down from heaven.
The practice of virtue draws us closer to the Love of God.
The practice of sinfulness alienates us from God and from each other.
Let me tell you a story:
The fruit of a nation that follow the Law of God is prosterity and peace.
There was an Emperor whose great ambition was to wear the finest clothes that were weaved by man. He went to the end of the earth looking for the finest lace and silk for his clothes to be woven.
One well known weaver came to him and told him that he had discovered the finest silk in the world and that his garment would only be seen by the wise. Were he, the Emperor to wear that garment, he would know the wise from the foolish.
The Emperor wore the fine piece of garment and every one would smile and say- Isn’t that beautiful! Till a child of two, seeing the Emperor go by screamed at the top of his lungs: “The Emperor is naked.”
A young child uninhibited by rules or fears spoke the TRUTH.
Today, Society has its reasons not to speak or see the truth. People remain silent afraid of speaking.
Who is to speak the truth?
TRUTH IS TRUTH- It is not something relative to the person who speaks- TRUTH IS TRUTH.
SIN is the disobedience of God’s law.
As Christians, we condemn the sin and minister the sinner.
GOD MADE HUMAN BEINGS MALE AND FEMALE.
MARRIAGE IS BETWEEN A MAN AND A WOMAN.
THE MARITAL ACT IS BETWEEN A MAN AND A WOMAN.
A couple united in the unbreakable Sacrament of marriage has the supreme task of loving, caring, supporting, helping each other grow in holiness, welcome children as a special gift.
Do not call marriage the union of persons of the same sex. That is the sin of fornication. Call sin – SIN.
The Catholic Christian family has come under attack today. Our Supreme Court has called sinful act- a right of every citizen. We need to unite and pray for forgiveness today. Our nation has crossed the boundaries of decency today. Calling what is sin- joy. Calling what is unlawful- lawfu. l Calling what is destructive- fruitful.
How do you stand in a tidal wave? The force of the water will wash you off your feet and drown you.
Today we see the tidal wave of what seems public opinion triumphant because the mass media is in favor of destroying marriage as is supposed to be: The lawful union between a man and a woman blessed by God in the sacrament of marriage for mutual love and unity within which children are welcomed, cared for and loved.
How do you stand in a tidal wave? The force of the water will wash you off your feet and drown you.
How do you stand in a tidal wave? Speak the truth.
Be not afraid to speak the TRUTH.
The Ten Commandments are commandments not choices.
God, creator of all gave us laws to obey.
We are brothers and sisters in Christ- We minister and love the sinner but condemn the sin.
Marriage is between a man and a woman.
Is marriage and life going to be extinct in a few years- by legal gay marriages and abortion?
Catholics unite in defense of the Holy Christian marriage.
We minister to the sinner and condemn the sin.
Law is order. Sin is disorder and chaos.
God help us when we stand and speak the truth.
