Marriage Amendment to the Constitution of the USA

Please, SUPPORT the FEDERAL MARRIAGE AMENDMENT To the constitution of the USA.  A marriage is the union between a man and a woman for mutual love and support and for procreation.  To strengthen and build a society based on the respect of God’s law.

As good citizens of a nation, we are to obey the law, BUT we need to elect politicians who help us dictate laws which we are to obey.  A politician needs to be a beacon of light to lead society to a brighter and better future.

The family is the basic building block of our society. If we destroy the primary building block of our society, we will see our society crumbled due to moral corruption.

My question today is: Are we trying to make our own rules as a society?  Can we dictate our own rules without realizing the consequences?  Please support the FEDERAL MARRIAGE AMENDMENT.

PRAY FOR MARRIAGES AND FOR OUR FAMILIES

What’s Catholic Teaching on Same-Sex Marriage?

From http://kc4th2243.home.att.net

The teaching of the Catholic Church could not be clearer:

U.S. Catholic Bishops

“Marriage, as instituted by God, is a faithful, exclusive, lifelong union of a man and a woman joined in an intimate community of life and love,” the U.S. Catholic bishops declared in Between Man and Woman, issued in November 2003. “Only a union of male and female can express the sexual complementarity willed by God for marriage.”

In a June 24, 2004 letter to all Catholic bishops in the United States the USCCB president, Bishop Wilton Gregory, urged every bishop to “personally contact your senators in the coming weeks to urge them to support this important measure,” and “also strongly support any effort to stop a ‘filibuster’ and allow the Senate to vote on this vitally important matter.”

Pope John Paul II

In May 2003, Pope John Paul II approved this Vatican statement: “No ideology can erase from the human spirit the certainty that marriage exists solely between a man and a woman. . . There are absolutely no grounds for considering homosexual unions to be in any way similar or even remotely analogous to God’s plan for marriage and family.” Further, “In those situations where homosexual unions have been legally recognized or have been given the legal status and rights belonging to marriage, clear and emphatic opposition is a duty.”

The Senate of the United States is discussing the FEDERAL MARRIAGE AMENDMENT.
