Protect the Child in the Mother’s Womb

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I dedicated you, a prophet to the nations I appointed you.
Jeremiah 1:5
Notice: In reading this article, keep in mind that if someone has the power to do something does not give that person the right to do it.
The right to life of a child, in the mother’s womb, begins at conception.
Right to Life is the first and most important right of a human being- if a human being is not alive, it cannot have any right.
I dream of a society where the safest place for a baby to be may be his mother’s womb.
God made us- Male and Female He made us. A man will never know the joy of carrying a life within. God chose women to do the sacred and blessed job of carrying a baby from conception to birth. Pregnant women have the joy and sacred duty to God of carrying the baby from conception to birth.
The pregnant woman is like an ark that holds and protects a baby till birth.
In a pregnant woman, we hold two human beings: the mother and the child.
No woman has the right to abort a child. Given the choice between the pregnant woman and the baby in the womb, the doctor has to try to safe them both. It is like this: Given the choice of amputating the right foot or the left, what are we to choose? We ask the doctor to try to save them both. I need them both.
Every pregnancy carries the promise that there will be a tomorrow.
Every time a baby is born, God says YES to the human race.
What John Paul II had to say about life in the womb in 1991
Below an excerpt of John Paul II’s homily on June 4, 1991 in Poland:
6. Pardon me, dear brothers and sisters, but I shall go even further. That cemetery of the victims of human cruelty in our century is extended to include yet another vast cemetery, that of the unborn, of the defenseless whose faces even their mothers had not seen before allowing, or being pressured into allowing, that their lives should be taken away from them before their birth. They were alive, they had been conceived and were growing in their mothers' wombs, unaware of the mortal threat which was looming large. And when that threat had become a fact, those defenseless human beings tried to defend themselves. A film camera has recorded a desperate defence against aggression by an unborn child in its mother's womb. (I once saw such a film and to this day I cannot free myself from what I saw. I cannot free myself.) It is hard to imagine a more appalling tragedy, bearing in mind its moral and human impact.
A woman is entrusted by God with a special responsibility
Peter was entrusted to be the keeper of the keys by Jesus. Peter was the first pope to lead the church into the future that is today.
As Peter was entrusted by Jesus, a woman is entrusted by God with a human life when she is pregnant. The woman’s responsibility when pregnant is to bring forth to life the baby in the womb. From the womb to the light, the mother witnesses her womb growing till the baby can be independent of his mom through birth. What a beautiful mission a woman has! What a beautiful task!
Our life is a Gift from God
Our lives are gift from God, we are not our own. We are within the frame of the divine law.
The first axiom is that God created us and wants for us to know Him, to love Him and to obey Him.
Think and Elaborate on your own:
How does God want us to know Him? How does God want us to love Him?
How does God want us to obey Him?
The second axiom is human beings are here for a limited number of years.
The third axiom is that God will judge human beings when the earthly life ends.
False Belief of Right to Abortion
We know of a public official who commented on the right to abortion “I would not like my young daughter to be burden with a baby.” Burden? With the same letter B the word Blessed begins.
Overshadowed by false belief that the right of the mother supersedes the right of the unborn baby, some members of society believe that the mother can abort the child, in some states even in the last trimester.
Mother and child in the womb have human rights, but we need to think of the defenseless life as more vulnerable and to be protected by the rational and loving mother.
Think
That someone has the power to do something does not give that person the right to do it.
Conclusion
Our most important human right given by God is the Right to Live because if a human being is not alive, it cannot have any right.
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I dedicated you, a prophet to the nations I appointed you.
